Job Summary:

Bloom Healthcare is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to support the growth and internalization of our accounting operations. This role will work closely with the Director of Finance to complete the transition of all accounting functions in-house and ensure the financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting—preferably in healthcare—with expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily and monthly operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processes.
  • Mentor, supervise and review the work of the senior accountant.
  • Partner with the Director of Finance and senior accountant to internalize the any outsourced accounting support.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present to executive leadership monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP standards, healthcare accounting regulations, and internal policies.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting, providing data-driven insights to support leadership decision-making.
  • Manage annual audits and coordinate tax preparation with external accountants.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to improve efficiency and compliance.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes impacting healthcare accounting.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and develop a team.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the healthcare industry with a  mix of public and private accounting.
  • 2+ years or supervisory/management experience required
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and healthcare accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.

The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience. The pay range for this role in the state of Colorado typically falls between $110,000 - $125,000 annually with the potential for performance-based bonuses and other benefits. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and location within the state.
