About Bloom Healthcare

Bloom Healthcare is a physician-led, home-based care organization serving patients with complex medical needs. We bring primary care, serious illness care, and hospice together into one integrated model—supporting patients and families over time through continuity, strong relationships, and shared clinical judgment.

As a high-needs ACO, we focus on outcomes that matter most: time at home, quality of life, and responsible stewardship of care. Our culture is grounded in Integrity, Commitment, Innovation, and Excellence, and we believe meaningful work and professional growth should go hand in hand.

The Opportunity

Bloom is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to help shape how our clinicians learn, grow, and apply knowledge in real-world care settings.

In this role, you’ll design and build modern, adult-learning experiences that translate complex clinical and operational expertise into clear, usable learning pathways, ones clinicians actually engage with and use in practice. Your work will directly support new and existing providers and help reduce cognitive overload by organizing learning in thoughtful, intuitive ways.

This is a senior individual contributor role that combines hands-on development with meaningful influence. You’ll partner closely with clinical and operational leaders, lead learning design decisions, and help Bloom scale education in a way that feels practical, respectful of clinician time, and grounded in adult learning principles.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and build modular, LMS-based learning for providers (NPs, PAs, MDs, DOs) using proven adult learning principles, including microlearning and blended learning approaches

  • Partner with subject-matter experts to modernize and refine existing clinical and operational content while preserving accuracy and intent

  • Lead decisions around learning structure, sequencing, and modality to ensure content is clear, engaging, and effective for asynchronous delivery

  • Develop and maintain structured learning pathways that help learners understand priorities, expectations, and next steps

  • Reduce reliance on repetitive live training by moving foundational knowledge into well-designed learning modules, freeing clinical leaders to focus on discussion, application, and judgment

  • Over time, support the thoughtful extension of this learning approach to additional clinical teams, including hospice and nursing

Who You Are

You’re an instructional designer who enjoys working in complex, real-world environments and takes pride in building learning that genuinely improves practice. You’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves, partnering closely with experts, and turning dense or inconsistent material into learning that feels clear, relevant, and usable.

You influence through credibility, collaboration, and quality and you’re energized by helping professionals feel confident and prepared in their work.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience designing and building adult learning content, ideally in healthcare, clinical education, or similarly complex professional environments

  • Strong grounding in adult learning theory and instructional design, with the ability to apply concepts pragmatically

  • Hands-on experience creating asynchronous, LMS-based learning, including modular content and structured learning pathways

  • Experience using eLearning authoring and media tools such as Articulate 360 (Rise/Storyline), Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable platforms

  • Comfort learning new tools and adapting as needs evolve

  • Proven ability to partner effectively with subject-matter experts while respecting content ownership and clinical authority

  • A builder’s mindset, with a strong preference for creating high-quality work directly

How You’ll Work

  • You prioritize clarity, usefulness, and learner experience over perfection

  • You iterate thoughtfully and value continuous improvement

  • You build trust easily and collaborate well across clinical and operational teams

  • You’re comfortable working without formal authority and influencing through expertise and follow-through

  • You enjoy making complex systems simpler and more effective

Nice to Have

  • Experience designing education for clinicians, including providers or nursing teams

  • Familiarity with blended learning models that combine asynchronous content with applied, discussion-based learning

  • Experience scaling or modernizing learning programs in a growing organization

  • Comfort working across multiple clinical domains while maintaining a consistent learning standard

Why Bloom

At Bloom, your work directly supports clinicians caring for patients with complex needs—and helps ensure learning feels supportive, practical, and respectful of real clinical realities. You’ll have the opportunity to build something meaningful, partner with thoughtful leaders, and shape how learning evolves as Bloom grows.
